Prawns

Prawns look scary, huh? Alien scary!

Mike and I have started this tradition of eating seafood on weekends. I bought a kilo of prawns at the Salcedo Market. P650/kilo may seem a lot, but if you order this dish at a restaurant, for sure you won't be able to enjoy as much! A kilo is about 21 pieces, so we enjoyed about 6 pieces each and I saved the rest to be enjoyed some other way.

To prepare this dish, you'll need a little bit of:
prawns
olive oil
salt and pepper
garlic
water

Fry some garlic cloves in olive oil. Add the shrimp to the hot pan and make sure that it isn't overcrowded. Add salt and pepper and add a bit of water. Cover for about 3minutes, then turn off the heat.

Enjoy with a cup or two of rice, and serve with your favorite sawsawan or dipping sauce. Mine is white vinegar with a bit of salt. This is a messy meal, so it's best to bring out a couple of table napkins to wipe off the juice spills from your shirt. Haha!

Edit: I had leftover prawns so this is what I did.
