Tuna Pasta

Tuna pasta is our default "there's-nothing-in-the-ref-we-have-nothing-to-cook!" dish. I've always thought that should there be an emergency, at least we'd have stuff in the pantry to make tuna pasta.

Since I hadn't ventured out to the grocery to restock our fridge, I decided to make use of what we already had at home.

In less than 10 minutes, I had a yummy dish that would give me enough energy to haul my self to buy more food. Haha!

To make this yourself, you'll need:
canned tuna, the hot and spicy kind
spaghetti
cherry tomatoes
olive oil
dill
squeeze of lemon
capers
garlic, chopped
salt and pepper

Fry a bit of garlic and add the tuna. Add cherry tomatoes, capers, season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle some dill and add a squeeze of lemon. Add boiled spaghetti and mix everything together.

You can top this with cheese, substitute basil for dill or bottled sardines instead of canned tune. I like adding lemon zest and cheese too. I feel that it makes it more flavorful. Ironically, I'm really not fond of fish. I prefer salmon (smoked or baked), cream dory fillets, and the steamed or fried fish dishes that our yaya would make. Other than that, I make use of great ingredients to take out the fishy taste. Hehe. That's just me being picky, but I'm sure some people would absolutely love to eat this dish day in and day out.
