Bacon Garlic Pasta

























5 simple ingredients. 10 minutes cooking time. 1 delicious, satisfying, bacon-happy dish.

We're still on a bacon high here at Dreaming of Dinner HQ. Last night, I decided to make a quick, simple dish using the best bacon ever, Marty Adriano's Mad Meats Belly Bacon. (Yes, I cannot get over it. How can I ever go back to supermarket bacon ever again?!)

The smokiness of the bacon really is the star of this dish. It is overwhelmingly good. Every time I take a whiff of it, I feel like I've been hanging out stoking a bonfire for hours.

The strong flavors of the garlic complement the bacon really well. This is a satisfying pasta dish that would be perfect for any time of day.

To make this, you'll need:
pasta
bacon- Mad Meats is smokey, meaty and absolutely delish!
garlic- I used almost an entire head of garlic. Use as much or as little as you want.
black pepper
water


Boil pasta until al dente. Chop garlic and set aside. Fry bacon until the edges are toasted. (Or cook it however you like!) Set aside until cool enough to handle. Break or chop into small pieces.


Remove most of the oil from the pan then toast the garlic. Add the drained, cooked pasta and the bacon bits. Add black pepper to taste. 

Use this as the base recipe for more yummy bacon pastas. You can add blue cheese, feta, cheddar, mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, red pepper flakes, cream, truffle oil, egg, caramelized onions, olives, arugula or whatever it is that makes your taste buds happy. Just don't forget to make the bacon the star!
