Korean Red Bean "Fish Ice Cream"

One of my favorite things in the world is "fish ice cream". No, this isn't some Iron Chef experiment. It's simply a Korean ice cream bar shaped like a fish!

A thin wafer (shaped like a fish!) encapsulates delicious vanilla ice cream and a layer of sweet red bean jam. It costs about P50 (P38 in Waltermart Pasong Tamo!) and I must say, each bite is pure heaven.

Upon further research, it's apparently a Bungeoppang treat, waffles with sweet paste inside, produced by the Bingrrae brand (which is connected to Melona). I've bought it at Ashi Mart along Kalayaan Ave. (the best Korean grocery in Manila), Kang's along Valero st. Salcedo Village (used to be near Salcedo Park but they moved), as well as Waltermart Pasong Tamo. The Melona brand has more delectable ice cream treats ranging from ice pops to ice cream sandwiches. This fish ice cream is my favorite.
