Chicken Asparagus Sandwich

I made this sandwich with Chocolate Kiss Cafe's version in mind. That was my default snack order. One bite and I knew that if the craving struck, I could manage to do it at home on my own.
This time I used fresh asparagus instead of the canned version that the cafe uses. Fresh is always better!

You'll need:
olive oil
cayenne pepper
asparagus- Only P120 for a big bunch at Santi's. Way better than the P50 mini-bundles at groceries!
salt and pepper
bread- I used mini whole wheat ciabatta from French Baker

Blanch asparagus in hot water. Drain, rinse with cold water and set aside. Chop into 1-inch pieces.

Marinate chicken in olive oil, salt and cayenne pepper. Heat olive oil in a pan, saute garlic then add the chicken. Sear sides of the chicken for more flavor. Take of the pan when cooked through. Chop into small pieces then add mayo, and asparagus into the mixture. Season to taste.

Toast bread then add the chicken filling. Serve with chips on the side if you like.

My version is chunkier than Chocolate Kiss Cafe's version. Of course, with their years of experience they've got the recipe down pat.

Now, maybe I should make my version of Chocolate Kiss' Devils Food Cake and Dayap Chiffon Cake?
